Margie Kersey joined Rotary as a charter member of the Rotary Club of Lake Spivey in 1998 and served as President in 1999-2000. She was named Rotarian of the Year in 2004. After getting married to Ron (also a Rotarian!), she joined the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain in July 2006 where she is serving as President this Rotary year.
She has also been active at the District level, where she served as District Governor in 2011-12. She is currently serving as the District Rotary Foundation Chair for 2016-2019. Margie served as Trainer for two Governors and is currently serving as President of The CART Fund (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) and still serves on the PETS committee as the evaluation chair. She is a graduate of Rotary Leadership Institute and is a Discussion Leader, past Curriculum Director and will serve as the RLI Sunshine Division Chair in 2019-21. She is a Major Donor, Bequest Society member and is very honored to have been named District Rotarian of the Year in 2008.
Margie is self-employed with her husband, Ron Kersey, as financial and estate planners. Ron and Margie live in Lawrenceville where they attend wine tastings whenever they can.
