As you know, we are well underway in our plans to host our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which will take place on May 15, 2023, at the prestigious St. Marlo Country Club in Duluth, GA. The headline charity for this event is "The Longest Day" which supports the Alzheimer's Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for Alzheimer's disease research. The tournament also benefits many of our efforts in the community, including the USO, Kingsley School Thanksgiving Harvest baskets, Dresden Elementary, CAC-Community Assistance Center, and Malachi’s Kitchen. District Training Assembly will be held on March 25, 2023 at the Historic Iron Works (Convention and Trade Center) in Columbus, Georgia. District Training Assembly is a chance for club officers, committee chairs and assistant governors to further develop leadership skills and refine strategies to achieve their goals. All Rotarians who accept key club leadership roles are encouraged to attend the District Training Assembly and Dunwoody typically has a good-size group in attendance. .
District Training Assembly is not just for club officers; it's where club officers, chairs, emerging leaders, and ALL Rotarians can learn more about what Rotary has to offer. If you would like to attend, please contact Jack Sparks, our President Elect.
