Thank you to all of our Veterans for your service. Tomorrow we have a special Veteran's Day speaker. This bulletin is re-issued for a calendar error - book prep is December 4 not this Saturday.
Read about our speaker and:
Keep thinking about being a host for our GRSP Leadership Weekend in January 2022 ... and give Jackie Cuthbert a call if you'd like to be a host family.
In honor of Veteran's Day, please help us welcome Captain Andrew W. Radloff to our club this Friday. You can join in person at Le Meridien or via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86202979419.
Captain Radloff is Executive Officer, 461st Operations Group, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He is responsible to the Group Commander for the development and implementation of executive management policies for 930+ active duty personnel in the Air Force’s only active duty E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar Systems Operations Group.

Do you remember the childhood story of Rapunzel, locked in a room and tasked with turning straw into gold? We have a similar opportunity Saturday, December 4 at 9 AM when we meet to transform about 1,000 books into magical holiday gifts for the students of Dresden and Kingsley Elementary Schools.
There will be no locks – just coffee, yummy breakfast foods and lots of fellowship – all at President Carter Stout’s offices, 4675 N. Shallowford Road, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30338. Our work to add bookplates and Spanish/English dictionary cards will be done in no time at all! This is far from the first time that Dunwoody Rotarians have been asked – and actually willingly volunteered to perform this magical task.
We have donated a book for every child at Dresden for more than 20 years – and added Kingsley to the program in 2017. Since we started, we have distributed more than 20,000 books. A big shout out to Roy Ethridge and Jennie Springer for getting us started, and to Anita Augello for encouraging us to expand to Kingsley. So join us for the magic this Saturday. And let Kathy Brandt or Jack Sparks know you’re coming, so we’re sure to have plenty of treats!

We are excited to be supporting the Marines and their annual Toys for Tots campaign again this year. Everyone is being encouraged to shop early for Christmas this year because of issues in the supply chain - and we'd like to encourage you to do early shopping too! When we gather for our Holiday luncheon on Friday, December 10, we'll be collecting bikes, toys and games to help make this holiday season great for needy local youth! You will also be able to drop off your Toys for Tots gifts even if you're not attending the luncheon live - more details on that as we move into December!
Contact Jim Glass if you have any questions.
The Rotary Club of Dunwoody is sponsoring the Dunwoody High Wildcat Theatre productions this year with a half-page ad in the playbills for their fall and spring productions.
Fall features William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, a comedy tells the tale of siblings shipwrecked and separated.
Some of us plan to attend the Sunday, November 14 performance at 2 pm and have supper afterwards at Carbonara’s.
If you are interested, please click here to buy your theatre tickets online. We recommend the green center area. We hope that our club will be recognized before the performance.
Let Louise Barden know if you want to go to supper afterwards; she will make the dinner reservations.
Join us for theatre, supper or both - your choice!
To date, we have raised about $3,500 on ticket sales for all three raffles. Our goal is $11,000. So it's time to promote raffles #2 and #3 - scheduled November 21 and December 21! Buy your personal tickets and send your friends and whiskey or cigar aficionados to our website - www.whiskey-raffle.com
Here's a way to keep up with all that's happening with the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. If you would like to add an event - or add a story to the bulletin, send an email to Jackie Cuthbert at cuthbert@mindspring.com by Tuesday evening.
