Dunwoody State of The City Event

The 2017 Dunwoody State of the City was a big success and was attended by about 300 people. Ashely Butts of the City of Dunwoody is very appreciative of the Rotary Club efforts to help make this event go so smoothly.

The State of the City is not only a good volunteer opportunity but a great opportunity to provide exposure to the Dunwoody Rotary Club and with our city of Dunwoody's city government, businesses, and its residents. Having our banner behind the speaker's podium (see picture) has proven to be the best idea we've had for this event.

Our President Tina Philpot did a great job hosting the event and introducing the sponsors, the sustainability winner, and our Mayor Denis Shortal. Great job President Tina!

As the coordinator of the Dunwoody Rotary volunteers I would like to thank the following people for their efforts the day of the event to help make everything go so smoothly and fill those gift bags:

Tina Philpot
Carter Stout
Bob O'Brien
Fred Brandt
Kathy Brandt
George Stewart
Rick Otness
Rick Woods
Cathy Brumfield
Dottie Toney
Erich Schuetz
Larry Domenico

A special thanks to Carter Stout for providing insight on prior years events to help me coordinate our volunteer efforts.

Thank you,
Tom Lashway

Editor's Note: We are also very appreciative of the tremendous efforts and leadership of Tom Lashway to coordinate this successful event! Thank you, Tom!
